When do I have access to my class in Moodle?

Students are added to the roster in Moodle 7 days before the class start date. They are removed from the roster 15 days after the class ends, although this can be extended by the academic department, so it may vary from one class to another.

I can't see a forum/assignment in my class. What should I do?

Contact your instructor and let them know what is not visible.

I can’t play the video that my instructor has uploaded to my class. What should I do?

Let your instructor know that you can’t view the video and include information about what device (computer, phone, tablet) and software/web browser you are using. If the video has been prepared for online playback, it should be in MP4 format, which is the standard and should work with all current devices. Some devices or web browsers do not support Flash video, so if your instructor is using Flash, let them know that you can’t view the video and ask to have it converted to MP4.

I submitted a file for an Assignment that my instructor can't open. How do I resubmit it?

The easiest solution is to ask the instructor if you can email the file in a format they can open -- e.g. MS Word, PDF. Be sure to submit future work in that format

My Internet connection was interrupted while taking a quiz. How can I retake it?

Let your instructor know what happened and ask to have your quiz attempt deleted. Be sure to complete the quiz before the new deadline assigned by your instructor.

My class uses Adobe Connect and I am not able to hear the audio/watch the video. What should I do?

After you have launched Adobe Connect, run the audio setup Wizard in the meeting menu to check your audio. You should do this for each class meeting. Video problems in Adobe Connect are almost always related to slow Internet connections. If you are using a slow cellular connection or wifi, check the speed of your connection.

I had an emergency during my class and need to take an incomplete. What do I do?

Let your instructor know that you want to take an incomplete for the class. Your instructor will give you the guidelines for making up the work, along with a deadline for doing so. Keep copies of any work you have submitted and a record of any grades you have been assigned.
